Our Team
Matt Breyer -President
Matt has been building since he was old enough to hold a hammer (somewhere around 4 years old). He has worked at a dairy farm, a custom sign shop, as well as working with a septic system installer, several masons, a commercial construction company, and two custom home builders. Matt has been with BC&L since it’s birth, first as the lead carpenter, and now as the president. His primary responsibility is working directly with our clients, designing a project to fit their needs, making sure the project meets their expectations during construction, and ensuring their satisfaction after the project is complete. When not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and helping with his church.
John Breyer -Production Manager
John has been mowing & landscaping for over 8 years, first in his own company, then with BC&L after the merger and incorporation. John is skilled not only in landscaping, but also in building, particularly remodeling. John’s responsibility is to manage our projects. He visits each jobsite, working with our crews to ensure they have the resources they need, and understand the project specifications. He also will step in as an additional carpenter to help move a project along if one starts to lag. John also heads up most landscape projects, and usually has a greater involvement in their completion. Apart from work, John enjoys spending time with friends, restoring a 1970 Chevy, and working with his church’s small group.
Jason Pechart -Lead Carpenter
Jason has been a carpenter since finishing high school. He spent the first 12 years working with Stoltzfus Enterprises, in Elverson, PA, where he learned framing and trim carpentry. After leaving Stoltzfus, Jason spent two years in commercial construction before joining BC&L in 2006. Jason is an excellent carpenter, and spends most of his time building decks in the Summer, and framing & trimming additions and finished basements during the Winter. This guy is SERIOUS about volleyball. Jason usually plays for two or three teams in the Reading & Pottstown area. When not working or playing volleyball, Jason is usually either splitting firewood or spending time with his wife.
